Slow Food Explained

Slow food

Fresh Food

La Locanda and the Slow food Organisation

Originally founded in Italy in the 1980s, La Locanda is a loyal supporter of the Slow Food Organisation and its ethos of good, clean and fair food for all.

Slow Food envisages a world in which everyone can access and enjoy food that is good for them, good for those who grow it and good for the planet. The approach is based on a concept of food that is defined by three connected principles: good, clean and fair:

GOOD: quality, flavoursome and healthy
CLEAN: production that does not harm the environment
FAIR: accessible prices for consumers and fair conditions and pay for producers

La Locanda’s menus feature a significant balance of produce that fulfils the Slow Food criteria.
