Maurizo Bocchi and Cinzia Bocchi
Husband and wife team Maurizio and Cinzia Bocchi specialise on bringing truly authentic Italian cooking to the Ribble Valley.
Passionate about the philosophy of slow food, Maurizio works with local suppliers to source wonderful, seasonal ingredients as well as native Italian produce.
They are justifiably proud of their country’s world renowned food, culture and heritage and their cooking techniques and skills have seen La Locanda win world and national recognition.
“Our aim is to provide you with a truly authentic Italian meal that gives you a flavour of the culture, heritage, tradition and hospitality of the place we are so proud to call our home.”
Northcote’s Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen is one of the most innovative and exciting chefs in the UK today. Leading the kitchen brigade at Northcote since the age of 23 and a regular face on Britain’s tv screens, she draws inspiration from the beautiful Ribble Valley landscape to produce stunning dishes which showcase the wide range of incredible produce the region has to offer. Lisa’s impressive culinary skills have landed her TV appearances on Saturday Kitchen, Snackmasters, James Martin’s Saturday Morning and Great British Menu to name a few. In 2020 Lisa was one of a handful of veteran judges to star on the Great British Menu Christmas Special; creating dishes for a unique banquet honouring the NHS and key workers who played such a central role in the Coronavirus pandemic. Lisa’s beautiful, nostalgic and festive flavours won her three banquet courses; more than any other chef has won in a GBM series.
Emma and Ian
At Gazegill, the Robinson family have farmed the land for nearly 500 years. Passed from one generation to the next the ethos has always been to farm with nature and leave our historic landscape as given, after all Emma and Ian are only the current baton holders waiting to pass it on to their children. They approach every day with a great saying in mind…
“We do not inherit our time on this planet from our parents, but rather borrow it from our children…”
The Farm is open for visitors and love people to share our little natural oasis and we are always happy to show people around.
